Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Open Access!

TGIF! Today the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open access to everyone! That means you don’t have to be a Nordstrom card holder to shop the sale.

I wanted to share what I’ve purchased from the sale and what I’ve loved, sizing suggestions, and a few other things I have me eye on. You can see my in depth selects for each category in my post from last week. A few suggestions when shopping the sale:

1- Look at things not in season yet, like sweaters and outerwear, because you can get an excellent deal on these items and you will have some awesome new pieces to look forward to wearing!

2- Think of both basics and fun statement pieces. If you need a new go-to cardigan grab that, but with the sale applying to those more fun and trendy items you may not have purchased at full price, go ahead and also grab that bag perfect for date night!

3- Golden rule: Don’t blow your budget. Whether you have $100 or $1,000 set your budget and stick to it. While you’re shopping don’t forget to set the price filter so you don’t even have to see the things out of your price range.

The BP. Rib Knit Cardigan is my new favorite. I wore this the day I got it and the day after and it’s perfect for errands, work, or lounging at home. It fits TTS, it’s super soft, and it has pockets I mean hello! Haha It’s also less than $32 and I got it in the oatmeal color but I love the tan color way as well!

The Zella leggings I got were my other in store purchase and I think they are in store only because I can’t find the exact pair online but I linked similar pairs with the grey and white stripe ones being the closest. They are super comfortable and if you are taller (I’m 5’6″) they would still hit by the ankle. I also got a pair of classic black high-waisted leggings and I am in love. They fit well and the material feels like a more expensive pair.

I’m super excited to wear the leggings with my new Nike running shoes!! I have wanted a pair of light grey running shoes forever and these are so cute and comfy and super light weight. I like my feet feeling like clouds when I’m working out not like I have 5lb weights on them! Nike’s don’t generally go on sale especially in this color way so if you are looking for a new pair of running shoes I would recommend these!

This Billabong sweater I got in the blue colorway which is sold out but they do restock items throughout the sale and it also comes in a pretty pink color. I would check in store as well if you like the blue better because I know they still have it available in store where I’m at. It’s super soft and really comfortable but I had to return it. I got it in the small and it was a little snug in the arms and shoulders so if you have broader shoulders I would recommend sizing up. However I tried on the medium in store and the arms fit nicely but the body was too baggy then and I kept fidgeting with the off shoulder neckline so it didn’t really work for me!

I also ordered this Topshop sweater because I have been wanting a yellow sweater since last year and this one just fits so well I couldn’t leave it behind! I’ll be honest and say I tried this on in store in a size up and it was too big but still comfy and flattering so I ordered it online (I got a size 2 for reference) and I’m probably going to want to wear it daily. I love the lace up detail in the back and the bell sleeves and the color looks really flattering and not too bright. It is a slouchy sweater though so if you are in between sizes I would recommend sizing down.

I must be on a yellow kick because the other yellow item I ordered is this Socialite romper. I mean how gorgeous is this?! I love the lace detail, longer sleeves, and sheer back. It fits TTS, the color is absolutely perfect, and the best part is you can easily dress this up or down for a day date or night out! However… I did return it simply because it occurred to me that as much as I love rompers I don’t wear them. I got this to replace an old yellow romper that I had only worn once… and of the 3 rompers I own I’ve only worn each one time. I’m more of a dress girl so it just didn’t make sense to keep it. If you love rompers though I can’t recommend this one enough. My sister loved this one and was very sad I returned it

The one dress I ordered was this Moon River dress. This actually wasn’t on my radar until I saw it on someone else, because let’s face it, online it doesn’t look that cute. In person though, as you can see in the photos, it is super flattering and is the perfect dress to transition into Fall. It fits TTS and I was happily surprised at how versatile and easy to style it is! I paired it with my new Aldo slides that I am in love with. They are so soft and fit like a dream so these will be on repeat until the weather gets too cold. I reached for my trusty Michael Kors satchel to finish off the look and this exact one is sold out but I linked 3 others that are just as classic and in the same blush or neutral tones.

The 3 other things I ordered but haven’t arrived yet are this BP. plaid top, Halogen leopard slides (which I’m super excited about), and Sole Society satchel. The bag is currently out of stock but they do restock items and since the sale is open access now I would keep checking on this item if you love it! I’ll share more on these items once they come in.

Here is what I’ve purchased and a few other things I love!
