Happy Spring everyone! Today I wanted to share a LBD that is perfect for every occasion. I actually got this dress 2 years ago and I’m just wearing it because I had to get it altered and we all know that takes ages to get done lol
I fell in love with it at my favorite Portland boutique, Sloan, but they only had it in a size too big. I got it anyone knowing I could have it taken in and now I can finally wear it this summer! I love the high low hem, the key hole detail and open back and the fabric is flowy and chic looking, but kind of gauzy so you could wear this on a date night but also with a pair of boots or sandals at a festival. It’s the jack of all trades dress I swear. The wedges are Sam Edelman and also from Sloan and if you are in the Portland area they have 3 locations and I highly recommend checking them out for some retail therapy! If you live int he Portland area they are having their Spring Sale Event the 21st-23rd (each day at one of their locations) and you get 30% off regular priced items and an extra 50% off mark downs plus free champagne and treats! If you go leave a comment and let me know what you got!
Did everyone have a nice weekend? Do anything fun for St Paddy’s day? Jesse and I were going to a party at our friends house but we fell asleep on the sofa at 10pm instead #partyanimals This St Paddy’s marks the 6 year anniversary of my accident and why I have a scar on my nose now. Every year as the weather gets nicer (and as we were shooting theses photos) I get told by strangers that I have lotion on my nose I need to rub in I’m like “um, no… it’s a scar” and then they feel so bad and start telling me how beautiful I am LoL I’ll probably get that the rest of life, unless I start wearing makeup every single day, and we all know that’s not happening LoL
I’ve also been cooking a lot lately. I love cooking for Jesse (and he’s been cooking more lately too!) and my friends, but with all the Fixer Upper I’ve been watching and seeing those dream kitchens I’ve just been dreaming of having one of my own to cook in for days! Recently I’ve made this (so good and super easy to make!), this (awesome on toasted sour dough bread), and this for dessert! If you’re ever in Portland just come on over and let me cook for you Also let me know what you’ve been cooking, I’m always looking for new recipes!
I’m excited this week also for a personal reason, Jesse and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary together. This is a big deal to me. I’ve never had a 3 year anniversary and though we’ve had our ups and downs, ya’ll I love dis boy LoL After 3 years I still love doing things to make him happy, I love spending time together and he still makes me laugh. No relationship is ‘perfect’ but it’s as if we get better with age. This year I wanted to make it special and I got him a few things to make him feel loved and excited about life. I’m hoping for a fun filled weekend of good food, lots of laughs, and even more XO’s
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend (and not too much green beer! LoL) and I’ll see you all here soon! Thank you so much for reading, you make my day
